This reviewer tends to favor solo guitar music, and Shawn Tubbs' CD instantly became one of my favorites. Every song on this album has a classical, devotional quality. In his liner notes, Tubbs says: "My approach to this project was simple. I wanted to capture the essence of a child of God sitting under a tree worshipping Him with his instrument -- in silence as well as sound." Tubbs' guitar work also appears in the "Live a Legacy" CD, also reviewed on this site. Hint: Christmas present for guitar-playing friends.
